SUP Scattering Celemony
We will travel to the scattering point on a SUP and hold the ceremony.
You can spend your farewell time in a slightly different style.
Scattering of human ashes
¥80,000 (¥88,000 including tax)/pillar

*Price is per SUP person and per remains.
*SUP cruising can be added for ¥10,000 (¥11,000 including tax) per person.
A town representing the Shonan area
From Chigasaki to Sagami Bay
Chigasaki is a city that represents the Shonan area, surrounded by rich nature and blue seas. We will take a SUP cruise from Chigasaki Beach to Eboshi Rock, the symbol of the city, and scatter the ashes there. If the weather is good, you can enjoy a cruise of about 1.5 km one way while looking at Mt. Fuji.
You will be guided to the scattering point by a marine scattering director who is a certified instructor of the Society of Stand Up Paddlers of Japan (SIJ) .
Safe for SUP beginners
Plans are customizable
Chigasaki Beach is a surf spot, and as the waves can get quite high on some days, it is a location for intermediate to advanced SUPers. Beginners can customize their plan with the following details.
You will share a SUP with the ocean scattering director, who is a certified instructor of the Society of Stand Up Paddlers of Japan (SIJ) , and cruise to the scattering point where the ceremony will take place.
*No additional charge
Beforehand, you will participate in a SUP tour at the long-established surf shop "Hosoi Surf School" in Chigasaki to acquire cruising skills. When you are able to cruise to Eboshi Rock, the SUP scattering will be performed.

Application
Please fill in the necessary information and apply using the button below.
Step 4
Delivery of remains
・Ashes (delivery method: Yu-Pack)
・Death portrait data
・Copy of burial certificate (not required for pets)
* Face-to-face delivery of the remains is possible (optional, additional fee applies).
*If the remains have already been pulverized, there is no need to send them in advance.
Step 7

We will circle around the scattering site on a SUP and offer a moment of silence.
Step 2
Consultation
The Ocean Scattering Director will contact you by email, phone, LINE, etc. to confirm the schedule and your SUP level. Online meetings using ZOOM etc. are also possible!
Step 5
Meeting and Departure
We will gather at Hosoi Surf School, a long-established surf shop in Chigasaki, change into our surfing gear, and then depart on our SUPs from Chigasaki Beach.
Step 8
Return to shore
After the ceremony, we will return to the meeting point "Hosoi Surf School". After taking a shower and changing clothes, we will go home.
Step 3
Payment
We will ask you to pay the estimated amount calculated based on the results of our consultation by the specified due date via bank transfer, credit card, or Paypal. After payment, we will confirm the date for scattering the ashes.
Step 6
Scattering of remains
After arriving at the designated area, scattering of the ashes will be carried out according to the following procedure.
1. Scatter the ashes from a water-soluble bag on a SUP
2. Sparkling wine offering
3. Offerings at a flower shower
Step 9
Certificate delivery
A certificate of scattering will be sent to you by mail at a later date. You can choose from six different certificate designs. We will also send you a video of the scattering ceremony by email.
Choice of scattering certificates
Please choose your favorite design for the deceased or your beloved pet. The scattering certificate will include the date of scattering, the name of the deceased, your beloved pet, and the longitude and latitude of the sea area where the scattering took place. Please refer to this when holding periodic memorial services.
